Glove Puppets - A hand puppet controlled by one hand which occupies the interior of the puppet.
Bunraku style Puppets - Inspired by traditional Japanese puppets manipulated by multiple performers.
Carnival or Body Puppets for large-scale entertainment events.
Table Top Puppets - usually operated by rod or direct contact from behind, on a surface similar to a table top.
Costume Prop Puppets - Worn and manipulated by the performer.
Ventriloquist Puppets - Operated by a ventriloquist performer to focus the audience's attention away from the performer's activities and heighten the illusion that the dummy is speaking.
